Business workflow software company ServiceNow has acquired Quality 360 from Advania, aiming to bolster its manufacturing sector capabilities. ServiceNow plans to integrate Quality 360 into its Manufacturing Commercial Operations (MCO) platform, offering manufacturers proactive, AI-powered insights to manage quality issues throughout the production lifecycle. ​

QA powered by AI: Manufacturers often face quality management headaches, and Quality 360's solution is focused on addressing those challenges by enabling manufacturers to identify and resolve issues – from source identification to containment, corrective action, and resolution. The solution offers AI-powered root cause analysis, automated issue detection, standardized resolution frameworks, and a centralized 'Quality Workspace with real-time communication tools.

Tooling up: ServiceNow says the acquisition aligns with its strategy of helping manufacturers streamline commercial operations, manage complex partner ecosystems, and drive revenue growth through AI-powered automation and real-time visibility. By integrating Quality 360 into its MCO platform, ServiceNow hopes to provide manufacturers with the tools needed to proactively manage quality issues, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer trust.

Broader manufacturing play: The acquisition is one of several ServiceNow has made recently to strengthen its position in the manufacturing innovation and AI space. Last year the company acquired 4Industry, a digital transformation solution, from Plat4Mation. Also last year, it​ announced a strategic partnership with Siemens aimed at enhancing industrial cybersecurity and integrating generative AI into factory floor operations.
